History & Biography
Formed by Niko Karppinen and Petteri Lammassaari in 2000, Bloodride released the Taste Of Bloodride demo in 2003 and Bloodridden Disease demo in 2004. The two founders remembered meeting at a concert of the band Tarot. The group even opened for, Niko’s former band, Maple Cross after the second demo. Promo 2007 was issued, but the band was mostly inactive. A debut full-length album, called Crowned In Hell, was out in 2011. The same label issued the second album. Original guitarist Niko Karppinen had left in 2013 and joined National Napalm Syndicate. Planet Alcatraz was on Inverse Records. There was a video for the title track. The group toured with Disparaged, Inferior and Nunslaughter in Europe in 2019. The fourth album, called Idiocracy, was released through Great Dane Records in September 2021. The band appeared at Speed Metal Party in Tampere on the 13th of August 2022. A Helsinki gig was cancelled earlier in 2022. The band had a belated video for the song Hate Of Hatred. The group announced a tour of Poland and Lithuania with Stormgrey and Rusted Brain in 2023.

Gigs were with Methane and Sgt Slime in 2024. The thrash metal band was in the studio in 2024. The band was mixing the record in 2025. Bloodride announced the next release would be called Deafening.
