History & Biography This thrashgrinding (a.k.a. bimboviolence) Brat came together in 2020 and took the scene by storm through a mixture of aural violence and humour. Brat was sired by Brenner Moate (of the sludge band Cikada) and Liz Selfish in 2020. Bassist James White departed. Mean Is What We Aim For was a 2021 demo. There was a video for the song Chain Pain. Grime Boss was the 2022 demo. Prosthetic Records bought in and out came Social Grace in the middle of March 2024. The group was billed at the New England Metal And Hardcore Festival in 2024. Campaign For Musical Destruction 2025, featuring Napalm Death, Crowbar, Full Of Hell and Brat, was booked for Europe for February and March 2025.
USA-based Brat was heading to Europe for several big and small shows in the summer of 2025. The year had started with another cover version, this time of Heart's Barracuda. The band was booked for Lamb Of God's Headbangers Boat in the autumn of 2025. Miss Selfish was contributing guest vocals for Grindmother. The band was heading to Europe in the summer of 2026. Napalm Death, Master, Brat and Goatburner were conducting the second round of the Campaign For Musical Destruction European tour in November and December of 2026. First, however, a sophomore album, Manslayer, was released through Prosthetic Records on 25.09.2026. A music video was made for the song Manslayer (Hell Hath No Fury). Brat was conducting a tour of Europe for the autumn of 2026.
