History & Biography Eat your heart out, Thor! Yes, we are in on the joke. Brothers Of Metal features a female member, is part folk rock, part pop rock and only partially metal and the band does not take itself too seriously either. The lyrics sing of olden Norse times and characters of course. Incidentally, a tour called Brothers Of Metal included Dofka and Order Of Nine in 2008.
Based in Falun in central Sweden, the loincloth wearing troupe came together by Cavalince and Tempory members in 2012, but only added singer Mats Nilsson and drummer Johan Johansson in 2013. The act was booked for Sabaton Open Air 2016 and again in 2019. The band issued The Prophecy Of Ragnarök demo in 2017. It was rereleased by AFM Records in 2018. AFM Records had picked up the band and released Emblas Saga in 2020. Elvenking and label-mates Brothers Of Metal toured to begin 2020.
Bloodstock hosted the band in 2023. Sweden-based heavy and viking band Brothers Of Metal released an album, entitled Fimbulvinter, through AFM Records in November 2024. The song Nanna's Fate had roots dating back 25 years. The band appeared at Rock The Lakes, Leyendas Del Rock Oficial, Summer Breeze 2024 and was closing 2024 with a European tour. Grail Knights was opening. The year had started with a tour with Gloryhammer and Beast In Black. The band was booked for Wacken 2025.
