History & Biography
Browbeat is a hardcore/crossover act from Italy. The group came together in Carpi near Modena, in northern Italy, from the ashes of local hardcore and metal bands in 1998. The band signed with the Italian label Vacation House Records a few months later and started the recording sessions for the debut album No Salvation in May 1999. It was released in April 2000. Browbeat contacted producer Dave Chang (Stampin’ Ground and Earthtone9) and headed into the studio to start the recordings of the second album Audioviolence in August 2002 Casket Music/Copro Records contacted Browbeat and the band flew to UK to sign a worldwide deal for Audioviolence, which was out in April 2003. The gang toured Europe, both headlining and as support, with the likes of Skindred and Raw Power (the band of drummer Cavani incidentally).

Browbeat announced the traditional return in 2017 after disbanding ten years earlier. Singer M.V. was the only original member. Releasing the new album Remove The Control, the band played with Slapshot, First Blood, Sheer Terror and others. The band began writing new material during the pandemic and entered the studio to record The Showdown, a five-track demo released in January 2022. One year after the release of The Showdown the crossover band was back with a new album called Unbreakable, which was released through Time To Kill Records in March 2024.
