History & Biography
Burial Hordes was formed in 2001 and soon issued a demo called Entering The Untrodden Forest. The band featured programmer and keyboardist Adrahil and drummer Erevos. The Mors Luminis demo followed two years later in 2003. A split release with Eschaton came out in 2005. The demos were issued on one tape Nigra Mortis Records in a limited run of 666 copies. With a new singer and drummer the band signed a deal and issued an album. Burial Hordes’ Devotion To Unholy Creed album was announced by Pulverised Records in the autumn of 2008.

Witching Hour Productions released a single called Descent for the band in 2012. The same year brought a compilation called 12 Years Of War And Revenge. A new album on a new label was 2014’s Incendium. The band featured drummer Vagelis Felonis now who was completing his tour of being in every band everywhere for a little while. A six-tape box was called Destroyers Of The False Hope in 2015. The band issued its own Extinction demo in 2016, but it was not the end. Θανατος αιωνιος (The Termination Thesis) was a 2018 album. Reviews

BURIAL HORDES - DEVOTION TO UNHOLY CREED - PULVERISED
The below average grade is not because the band is devoted to whatever it is devoted to of course. It is because the band is not as exciting and as powerful as advertised. The group’s brand of blackened bile is raw, untechnical and seriously anti-commercial. The music makes little compromising and there is little variety aside from the noisy doom of album’s closer, Stench Of Immortal Doom. The vocals are croaks of unholy evil and the speedy one-note riffs happily underground to the core. Alas, past the bestiality there is little to latch unto. This will appeal to those who need more early Gorgoroth and early Darkthrone, but those pioneers’ cleverness is not equalled. The sound too could be better. The drum is buried beneath the bile of Belial. Keep the noise and the attitude, guys. Just write stronger metal next time! - Ali “The Metallian”
