History & Biography This Switzerland-based band was formed in 2015 and had a demo in 2016. The demo was selected as the best demo in magazines like Metal Hammer Germany and Rock Hard. The self-titled debut full-length by Swiss all-girl band Burning Witches was out in the spring 2017. The CD was recorded at the Little Creek Studio in Switzerland with producers V.O. Pulver and Schmier (Destruction). The gals released a second album Hexenhammer through Nuclear Blast Records on November 9th. The album was produced at the Little Creek Studio in Switzerland again by V.O. Pulver and Schmier of Destruction. Sonia Nusselder had joined the band. Burning Witches lost vocalist Seraina Telli. The band recruited Laura Guldemond, singer for the Netherlands-based band Shadowrise, as its new lead singer. Burning Witches released a full-length album, entitled The Witch Of The North, through Nuclear Blast Records on 28.05.2021. Seraina Telli released a single from her Dead Venus project. The song Flowers & Pain showcased a mallcore/rock sound. The Iron Maidens, an Iron Maiden cover band, and Switzerland-based Burning Witches announced a tour of the U.S.A. for May 2022.
Burning Witches released its next album, entitled The Dark Tower, through Napalm Records in May 2023. There was a video for the title track, which referenced Elisabeth Bathory. The act played a couple of concerts in Spain, toured Europe with Paul Di'Anno and KK's Priest and announced a tour of the USA where fans could pay extra to be VIPs in order to meet and also greet the band. KK’S Priest, L.A. Guns and Burning Witches were to tour the USA in March 2024. The band was back in Europe appearing at shows like Rock & Metal Day'z 2024 and Zeltfestival Rhein-Neckar opening for Avantasia. The band was returning to the USA for more concerts where meet and greet packages were available for $55. This included a "photo opp" with the band. Burning Witches was to tour the USA in October and November. Graveshadow was the support on select dates. First, however, the band appeared at Summer Breeze 2024.
