History & Biography The group was founded in 2019. A bunch of members came and went. Redefining Darkness was issuing the band’s 2019 demo Mass Extinction on cassette in 2020. Celestial Sanctuary’s Soul Diminished was out through Church Road Records. The young band was billed as death metal. A second album appeared on the same imprint in the summer of 2023. An EP, called Visions Of Stagnant Blood, arrived in 2024. Metal Blade Records signed UK-based death metal band Celestial Sanctuary in 2024. The band was touring Europe with Kruelty and Slimelord. The act was booked for Incineration Festival in the UK in 2025. Celestial Sanctuary reissued the Visions Of Stagnant Blood EP through Metal Blade Records in 2025. The re-release included an additional track, called Choking On The Rotten Seed. Sanguisugabogg was to return to Europe, with Fulci, Gates To Hell and Celestial Sanctuary, in February of the year 2026.
