History & Biography
Formed in the final year of the 80's, Ceremonial Oath released a single on Corpse Grinder Records called The Lost Name Of God in 1992. Aside from the two albums, the gang also appeared on the Metallica tribute album of their third label. In retrospect these heavy/speed metallers seem like the ultimate Swedish super group. The band members seem to have mostly graduated to fame and fortune.

Gothenburg band Ceremonial Oath reunited for a show at The Gothenburg Sound Festival, planned for January 5th and 6th, 2013 at Trädgår'n in Gothenburg, Sweden. The band also played at Hellfest Open Air Festival. Ceremonial Oath next signed a deal with Century Media Records for the re-release of several of its albums including 1993’s The Book Of Truth. Activities died down again.
