History & Biography
The ritualistic Ch’ahom issued its The Raid Of The Tzitzimime demo in 2016, which was a year after the band was founded. Tzitzimītl was an Aztec god. S.P.S. was a founder, but A.G.A. elevated the band's indigenous South and Central American themes. Oblation was a 2016 demo. S.P.S. switched to guitar from drums. Multiple demos followed until the band issued a debut album in 2023. Knots Of Abhorrence was released through Sentient Ruin Laboratories. Essen, Germany-based black/death metal band Ch’ahom issued a new record, called Anthropic Rites Of Sublimation, through 20 Buck Spin on 18.09.2026.

Ch’ahom was a Mayan title associated with incense and ritual. It referred to an 'incense caster.'
