History & Biography
Sweden-based Cipher System has straddled the line between metal and metalcore since 2002. The band was always considered on the cusp of making it by the press, but hype exceeds reality especially when members are busy with a ton of other acts. As such, the band takes multi-year breaks. The founders were Johan Eskilsson and Henric Carlsson. The band's Eyecon demo not only carried the name for the previous monicker, but also was initially released by the previous incarnation. Lifeforce Records released the band's debut in 2004. The band reverted to demoland next.

Communicate The Storms was on Nuclear Blast. 20th Anniversary was an anniversary CD in 2015, which took the band's previous names into consideration. Christian Älvestam took over the vocals in 2020.

Sweden-based Cipher System had an EP called Torn Between Realities through At Dawn Records. The band was crowdfunding for signed copies. There was a video for the song Endveiler. The group had initially promised a new release, through Black Lion Records, for 2021!

Dead By April is another alternative rock band.
