History & Biography This Norwich-based death/doom metal band was founded in 2010. The band issued a demo called Gut The Priest that year. Echoes of The Dead came in 2013. The band had a compilation demo called Remembrance in 2018. UK-based death/doom band Consecration had an album called Fragilium through Solitude Productions. The group signed with Redefining Darkness Records in 2021. The band had already completed its new record.
Consecration released Reanimated, a raw EP of rediscovered older tracks recorded live on Cavernous Records on 19.11.2021. Domain Of Despair was a new interpretation of an unreleased 2011 demo song. The band was still due to issue a full-length on Redefining Darkness Records in 2022. The band had an album called Cinis through Redefining Darkness on 17.06.2022. Cinis means ‘cold ashes’ in Latin. The band played with Elderseer and The Black Bison at Retribution Alive - Monthly London Metal Night again in December 2022. The band appeared at Esoteric’s 30th Anniversary and UK Deathfest 2022. Shane Amies left in 2023 and bassist Mathew Bollans. The group completed recording an album in 2025. The band had a 2025 gig with The Medea Project and Knim. The 2021 EP Reanimated was reissued in 2025 as a hand-made limited edition that "sold out in two hours."
Consecration would release a fourth full-length album, Exanimis, through Nuclear Winter Records on 29.05.2026.
