History & Biography Coven was an American pseudo-black metal band with a possible sense of humour. It all dates back to 1985. The band played with Excel and Defiance in 1990. The band was still active in 2012 and featured singer Jamie Carter, guitarists Frank Hetzel and Stefan Olsson, while Dean focused on the bass.
Like every other band Coven returned now calling itself Coven 6669 as of 2010. The band was playing concerts after the pandemic and, among others, opened for Metal Church in 2023. Second guitarist Russ Stefanovich was a new addition in 2023. Demo(n)s was a 2025 compilation. The band was booked for Soldiers Of Steel in the USA in August of 2025. Also playing were Morgul Blade, Leather and Rope.
