History & Biography Impurus founded the project back in 1994, but put it aside to focus on Dies Ater. Music was recorded and buried. The pandemic and induced boredom resurrected many projects including this one. In the meantime, the Canadian (and other) Cromlech had come, but would soon disappear. An album called Cold And Stiff was out in 2023. It featured new and old music. Several concert musicians were assembled in 2024.
Darkness Shall Rise Productions released Of Owls And Eels, the sophomore full-length from Germany-based Cromlech, in June 2025. Cromlech was playing with Gehenna and Penthos in that November.
Cromlech is a circular, or similar, ancient structure. It was also the name of a Darkthrone demo.
