History & Biography This Denmark-based groove band was founded in 2016. As is customary, a bunch of musicians began leaving. These included bassist Martin Nord and drummer Sebastian Ålen. The band uploaded a song called Zealot in 2018; otherwise, a demo called Spawn Of Tomorrow was released in 2022. A Danish concern called Vinyltroll Records pressed the same on vinyl in 2023. Drummer Christoffer Leth was out as of 2023. The band was booked for Ukraine Rocks 2024 and played at a show called Herrie in The Netherlands. The band and Terrorpy, which included drummer Leth, and Maceration announced 2025 touring.
The band signed with Emanzipation Productions and announced a 2026 EP called Judgement. Simon Skyrme was the third guitarist now. The Judgement EP was released digitally on the 15th of May 2026 and contained three tracks, one of which was a Six Feet Under cover version. It was recorded by the band and produced by Horde Echo Sound Production, a collaboration born while touring Ukraine (last time in 2025). The band was booked for Port Of Hell 2026.
Reviews CROWN THE BEAST - JUDGEMENT - EMANZIPATION
Crown The Beast is a younger band with one album to its name, so there wasn't much history to use to anticipate what an EP from these guys would be like. The band has three guitarists so that created some interest on my part. Sextets are usually carrying a keyboardist in the line-up, which is really lame.
Judgement features three tracks and one of them is a cover version, which is very uninteresting. The band covers Six Feet Under. The growling and riffing are accompanied by some really great drumming. Even better, the drummer has a warm sound to accompany the sheer pounding he gives his kit. Speaking of the overall brutal sound, the EP is self-recorded! The pummeling the listener receives is, sadly, tempered by the background keyboards sadly. It is faint and the music is raging, but still it is there. Why? Ask the band. The speed, blasting riffs, and overall sound are impressive; the EP format and background keyboards, less so - Anna Tergel
