History & Biography
Yorkshire, England-based deathrash band Cryptic Shift was founded in 2015, but was active four years prior as Crÿptic Shift. Beyond The Celestial was a 2015 release. The band was singer and guitarist Xander Bradley, guitarist Henry Parker, bassist Hokumu Blitzkreig (Thomas Parker) and drummer Ryan Sheperson. A sci-fi motif was detected soon. Xander's brother, Joe, was in the band between 2017 and late 2019. The band and Ukraine-based Bestial Invasion issued a split next. The band went into recycling mode and issued the Beyond The Celestial Realms EP through Fractured Mind Records in 2016. Members were in the doomier Slimelord as of 2019. The group also toured with Hour Of Penance and Damim in that year.

Visitations from Enceladus was a 2020 full-length. 46 minutes of music gave us four songs. Moonbelt Immolator was 25-minutes long. Bedsore announced a tour of Europe with Cryptic Shift for 2022. Touring with Benighted followed. The band opened the Voivod: 40th Anniversary UK Tour in 2023. UK-based death and thrash metal group Cryptic Shift had a music video for the song Hexagonal Eyes (Diverity Trepaphymphaszym) in 2026. The group would release an album, called Overspace & Supertime, through Metal Blade Records on February 27th 2026. The band had signed to the label in 2021. The band had an album release show with Mithras, Unburier and Desolator in London. The band was booked for the Maryland Deathfest. Germany-based Obscura was headlining the Shred Fest European tour in early 2027. Pestilence, Cryptic Shift, DVRK and Thus were opening.
