History & Biography
In the middle of 2012, German death metal band Cytotoxin signed a deal with Unique Leader Records. The band's Radiophobia album would be released on November 6th. It was recorded at Kohlekeller Studio in Seeheim, Germany. The band was formed in 2010 and had a demo called Plutonium Heaven in 2011. Jason joined in 2014 and the band became a dual-guitar formation. Ollie departed in 2016. Nuklearth was supported through a video for the song Lupus Aurora. The band’s sole show in 2021 was in The Netherlands. Drummer Stephan Stockburger left in 2023. Dying Empire's Maximilian Panzer stepped in. The group appeared at Metalacker and Brekafest in 2023. The band was booked at Obscene Extreme earlier. Cytotoxin, Cognitive and Blindfolded And Led To The Woods toured North America in late 2024.

Cytotoxin announced that Biographyte would be the title of its fourth album. It was scheduled for Unique Leader Records in April 2025. Maximilian Panzer was on drums. The band, Cognitive, Analepsy and Osiah booked a UK tour for Q4 2025.

A band with the same name was active in Sweden. Cytotoxins are agents that are toxic to cells. The band focused on atomic power and called itself Chernobyl death metal.
