History & Biography
The religious death metal band was founded in 2014 and issued a demo called Passageways To Daena (The Concomitant Blessings Of Putrescing Impurity) in 2015. The band had an affinity for Zoroastrianism. A split with another Switzerland-based band called Ungfell followed. 2015 also brought an EP called Astiwihad-Zohr. Switzerland-based Dakhma had an album called Hamkar Atonement through Iron Bonehead on the 28th of September. The album’s concepts revolved around ancient Persian deities. The band's 2021 album name hinted at the title for the debut demo. The group was at Prague Death Mass IV in 2023.

The band’s monicker is Avestan for ‘Grave.’ Avestan was a ritualistic language used in Northeastern Persia, which is the eastern Iran of the present day. The group took to terming itself Zoroastrian death music. Affiliated with the Helvetic Underground Committee.
