History & Biography
Nice in the south of France is the site for Darktribe (there was a band called Dark tribe already doing the rounds), which was founded by the Agnello brothers in 2004. Yet, the band's demo, entitled Natural Defender, was only issued in 2009. The band likes to remember having been founded in 2009 nowadays. There was a song called Darktribe included. The band did not fare well and could only obtain a recording deal with Massacre Records of Germany. The debut album, Mysticeti Victoria, was released in the summer of 2012. The band displayed a penchant for involved lyricism and a move away from more extreme metal. There was a video for the song Taiji. Guitarist Loïc Manuello was new here.

The Modern Age saw the band move to Scarlet Records. Its successor Voici l'homme arrived five years later in 2020. The album was a concept about the Bible. In the meantime, the band had played at Rising Fest in 2015 (and would return a decade later) and Japan's Evoken mini-tour in 2018. British Lion was touring Europe between May and July 2023. Openers included Airforce, Stray and Darktribe. The band lost drummer Julien Agnello however, which was a rare rankle within the line-up. Evoken Fest of Japan relisted the band in 2024. Forgotten Reveries was the name of the new album by power metal band Darktribe in 2025. It was issued by Bakerteam Records digitally and Scarlet on disc. The new drummer was also in Kvlt Ov Saedism with guitarist Manuello and was one of the many sessionists jumping from pay cheque to pay cheque.
