History & Biography
Darxon changed members as often as it changed labels. The group was founded by guitarist Markus Szart and bassist Peter Schmidt in the summer of 1983. The band obtained a deal with Wishbone Records and released Killed In Action. Massimo de Matteis was singing and Dominik Hülshorst was drumming. The two newer members had joined in the autumn of 1983. The group played with Avenger and Steeler in November of 1984. The album's cover adorned featured the evil cover character, Darx. The band, in fact, managed to play 20 shows in 1984. Its first, however, was at Heavy-Metal-Battle in Hamburg.

Tokyo from 1985 and Holding On (also featuring the song Tokyo) from 1986 were respectively an EP and a single from the band. No Thrill, which was produced by Accept's Jörg Fischer, was the second album and released in 1987. The co-founders and drummer Dominik Hülshorst were already gone. The band toured with Zed Yago in Germany in 1988. The act disbanded in 1989.

A reformed line-up featured Vocalist Klaus Lemm (formerly of Stormwind), bassist Jochen Fünders (formerly of Holy Moses) and guitarist Jens Frank (formerly of Bourbon Street and Monte Video and in Darxon in 1988 and 1989) and Rudi Grafs (Warlock). This group lasted one year, but managed to issue the Shout! record. The band reconstituted again with all new members except old singer Massimo in 1992. The band was reconstituted again, this time with guitarist Jens Frank, as Noxrad ("darxon' reversed) in 2006. Frank had, in fact, attempted to keep Darxon going, but could not maintain a stable line-up. He did not own the name either. Conny Beck was on vocals. Drummer Herbert Dreger died of a heart attack in 2012.
