History & Biography
This gang's background can be traced to 1990. The monicker was changed in 1991. South Germany's Dawn Of Winter was, somewhat inaccurately, often called Germany's only doom metal band. Formed out of the remains of Cemetery, DOW played the Path Of The Worm demo before recording the MCD Celebrate The Agony. The 1994 tape Doomcult Performance was never officially released. 1995 brought the Black Revelations demo and 1996 In Servitude To Destiny. Iron Glory, which was co-owned by Knittel, released a vinyl-only EP called Slow Is The Suffering in 2001. Tragedy Divine released an album through Noise Records.

The Peaceful Dead was on Massacre Records. This band opened the Sacred Steel: CD Release Party in 2009! The Skull Of The Sorcerer was a 2012 EP, which was released by Cyclone Empire. The group was booked for The Malta Doom Metal in 2012. The Pray For Doom album was on I Hate Records. The band was billed at Old Grave fest and Hammer Of Doom XIII in 2018. The band's line-up was a lesson in stability although members prioritized other acts. Mutz also joined Voodoo Kiss in 2022.
