History & Biography
Formed in 2002, Dead Awaken thrashed out a number of demos for the next decade before actually signing up for a full-length record. The demos were Death Before Dishonour, Instrument Of War, Tomorrow We Die, Scar Graced Earth and 2008’s The Noble Art Of Agitation. Andreas Morén of Bleeding Utopia was on bass and vocals until 2010. Dead Awaken, featuring former members of Abhoth, signed with Abyss Records in 2011 for the release of its full-length debut, Where Hope Turns Dripping Red. A second album only came courtesy the time afforded everybody with the pandemic. Fredrik Gustafsson was on bass. Rasmus Hamrin was on drums. The group performed at Aros Blast Fest 3 in Sweden in 2022. Rasmus Hamrin left in 2024. The new drummer's name was David Andersson. A Gig for Metal Vulture 5 in Poland was cancelled.
