History & Biography
Dead Heat is a Los Angeles, California, USA-based crossover band that was founded in 2016. A self-titled demo appeared quickly and, as usual, someone in his mother’s basement called himself bla bla “Records” and reissued it. A split release for Mindforce and Dead Heat followed. There was a Summer Promo '18 with two tracks.

The Certain Death demo was pressed on vinyl by another boy in his mother’s basement subsisting on mommy’s cooking upstairs (and the occasional 99 cent ramen). Live At Studio F12 was a late 2019 release. Endless Torment was an EP through Tankcrimes. Drummer Yogie joined in 2020. His band Section H8 had opened for Dead Heat. The two bands played together again in 2024. The band was opening for Koyo in 2023. Municipal Waste announced the Brainsqueeze Tour of North America with Ghoul, Necrot and Dead Heat for February 2024. The last three bands were on Tankcrimes. Guitarist Anthony left and in stepped Ricky Garcia.

Metal Blade Records announced the signing of Dead Heat. The band was playing a one-off gig supporting Bodycount before joining Drain, Terror, Angel Dust, and End It for a short run of shows in June. The band was travelling to Europe in July. Concerts were with Jivebomb and Going Off. Exodus was to conduct The Battle Of ’24 tour that autumn. It was to feature support from Havok and crossover acts Candy and Dead Heat. Cavalera’s Third World Trilogy U.S. Tour with Necrot and Dead Heat was underway to begin 2025.
