History & Biography The band was founded in Augsburg, Germany in 2020.
Germany-based Death In Fiction uploaded a song called Centurio’s Whore through Hicktown Records in early 2024. The song “reflects the ambivalence that women often face: on the one hand, they sell their bodies for money or fame, while on the other hand they fight against sexualization.” The group was booked for the Mammut Metal Festival. Death In Fiction had an album called Rotting Society through Hicktown Records in 2025. Separately, there was a cover version of Abba, which the band called “Abba death-metal cover of Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!,” yet the description read, “A merciless storm of pain, torment, and the burning question: Will humanity ever awaken?” Sporadic gigs followed.
