History & Biography Born in 2006 and changing its name in 2009, the Minas Gerais-based band specialized in thrash metal. Deathraiser, which had signed a deal with Xtreem Music in mid-2008 under its previous monicker of Mercilless, finally finished the recording process for its debut full-length album entitled Violent Aggression, which would see the light of day on February 1st, 2011. The band was in production for its second album in 2019. Then it took the pandemic off before appearing at a show called Cruzada metal in 2022. Toxic Death Records reissued the sole album on cassette. 2025 brought a gig with Eyes Of Vulture and an appearance at a small show called Leopoldina Rock Fest.
Attomica's 1991 album Disturbing The Noise contained a song called Deathraiser. A Finland-based Deathraiser was founded in 2006. A band called Doomraiser would follow.
