History & Biography
This British (Brighton) thrash metal act was formed in 1983. Dave Brunt was the main man. Brad Sims briefly left the band in 1983 and joined an act called Empire in Switzerland before quickly making a U turn back into Deathwish a couple of years later. The demo tape Sword Of Justice came out in 1986 and followed a debut demo in 1985. Sims was acting in a recording-only capacity. Bassist Stuart Ranger from Taor was inducted followed by Sims returning full-time. In the meantime, Sword Of Justice lead to a deal with Metalworks. The second album was on GWR and the band conducted a mini-tour of the UK with label-mates Motorhead. Still, there was nowhere to go with GWR winding down and 1989 was the end. Singer Jon and drummer Brad were friends and tried to soldier on in bands called Control and Diatribe. Brad was later in Criminal Damage with bassist John Hess of Virus.

The band (Brunt and Sims) reappeared in 2017 (of course) and nothing transpired (of course). The group was without a singer and disappeared again after recording material independently. The two albums were given a rerelease (of course) by Dissonance Productions in 2017.
