History & Biography
The Michigan-based heavy metal band first surfaced in 1983 (although had been around since 1980) via a $300 demo called Ded Engine Limited Edition. which featured songs like Reign Of Terror and Force Of Habit. Singer Scott Litz had joined in 1981. Marky DeSade joined in 1982. The band was featured on the It's Unheard Of sampler with the demo song Renegade which was re-recorded for this British compilation. Another demo called Till Deaf Do Us Part appeared in 1985. The tracks from this demo were again recorded, plus several new songs, for the 1985 debut.

Ded Engine was to be part of a zombie movie called Metalheads, and shot some live footage for that purpose in 1990, but the project never materialized. Marky De Säde died in 1994. Ded Engine is described as being close, in sound, to Judas Priest.
