History & Biography Active since 2021, Defiled Embrace was a solo act by singer Matan Kedar. It was a vehicle for the songs the man had written over the previous 11 years. The album was played with assistance from local guest musicians and contained songs about “the similarities between the human suffering and the death of different nature elements, alongside songs about love and loss”. The man was working on assembling a full line-up and writing new songs for a second record. Another Side Records released Defiled Embrace’s Mausoleum single in the summer of 2024. It was taken from the forthcoming full-length album, The Nether Earth, by the Israel-based doom project. The album was recorded by Matan El Kedar (vocals), Omer "Logan" Cohen (guitar, bass and effects) and Iftah Levy (drums). It was mixed and mastered by Ran Reihany who had also worked on the debut. Soul Of A Swan was issued in 2026.
