History & Biography Demonic Resurrection is notable because it hails from Mumbai, India; however its choice of inclusion of keyboards and name are pretty typical of newcomer weaker bands. The group featured singer and guitarist Shail, bassist Aditya, drummer Yash and keyboardist/singer Nikita at this time. It all started in 2000 and a demo called Demonstealer. The band fell apart in 2002, but reformed in 2003. Another demo, called A Darkness Descends, followed, but five years later. Like its predecessor it was a full-length release. Several of the tracks were next included on a split release with Pakistan’s Dusk, Severe Dementia and Helmskey. The Beyond The Darkness demo gained the band more international and national attention. Singer and guitarist Sahil "The Demonstealer" Makhija also performed the drums here. The thematic releases continued in 2010 with The Return To Darkness CD. Mumbai, India’s Demonic Resurrection next signed a deal with Candlelight Records for the worldwide release of its album, The Return To Darkness. It was the re-release of the demo, which was also the third installation of a trilogy.
Sahil’s Demonstealer Records is not only responsible for the band’s CDs, but also has several other bands on its roster.
