History & Biography
Several Devourers are running around the planet – no, not eating the world like the USA, we mean bands – and this one comes from Sweden. The black metal band was founded by John Falk in 2002 and issued a demo, called Malignant, two years later. Early drummer was Tommy Kvist, but no replacement was instituted when he left in 2004. Thy Devourer came out four years later. A full-length demo, All Hope Abandon, was recorded sporadically in 2011 and 2012 and issued in 2013. Another demo, called Filth, was released in 2013. The demo Across The Empty Plains appeared in 2017. This demo was also released through Iron Blood And Death on September 15th. Drummer Tommy Kvist was long gone by now. Sweden-based black metal band had a video for the track Throne Of Agony in 2018, which was taken off the band’s Across The Empty Plains album.

Guitarist Johan Wickholm and bassist Oksana Rage joined in 2019.
