History & Biography
Known as Herpes by school-mates until 2015, the "archaic death metal" band with HP Lovecraft inspirations changed its name (after shedding a guitarist) and issued the Disfuneral demo in 2017. Redefining Darkness re-issued Disfuneral’s self-titled Demo.in 2021 because underground shall never remain the underground. The label had signed the band and released the debut record in 2022.

The group was invited to Muscadeath in France in 2024. France-based Disfuneral had an album called In Horror, Reborn. It was available through Redefining Darkness Records at the end of April 2025. There was a release concert in Nancy alongside Catalyst. Drummer Yann Remy had joined in 2024.
