History & Biography
This death metal band has been active since 1999. The Death Trap demo of 2002 launched the band into the full-length stratosphere. 2003 brought the Overlust demo. 2006 brought an actual contract and an album called Blood Source. Cataract recruited guitarist Tom Kuzmic in 2007. Black Vs. Death Festival announced the band in 2007. Deniz Lebovci joined in 2008. In 2013, Swiss death metal act Disparaged signed a deal with Apostasy Records. This was obviously an improvement over Twilight Vertrieb, which was known for non-existent distribution or promotion. Apostasy also was most a CD presser, and nothing else, however. Either way, And Babylon Fell had been in the can for a year or two. The band was booked for Meh Suff! Metal Winter Festival in 2018. Nunslaughter, Disparaged and Inferia announced a European tour for 2019. The follow-up came a whopping seven years later, but remained on Apostasy Records. Heinz Imhof was back on drums and Tom Kuzmic had taken over the mike. Reto "Hardy" Hardmeier was on bass now.

Down The Heavens was supported through videos for the songs The Throne and Servants Of Fire. Then Reto Hardmeier left and was replaced by Rafahell (Amputate) on bass in 2025. Disparaged announced that its former bassist and founding member Adrian Scheiber had lost his battle with cancer and died in 2025. He was 51 years old.
