History & Biography
The act was founded by Adriano (bass) as a studio project in Switzerland in 2002 and became a live band when Emerald vocalist Jvo joined in 2014. Adriano had first initiated a project called Evil Eye, but was disappointed in the music. Early Distant Past singers were Reto Guggisberg and Angelo Schafer. Science Reality was a 2003 demo. Extraordinary Indication Of Unnatural Perception was a 2005 demo. Alpha Draconis was a further demo and released in 2010.

Pure Steel published Utopian Void in 2014. Its successor was called Rise Of The Fallen. Disappointed and shedding members, the band announced a farewell, did its Manowar/Scorpions/Ozzy Osbourne final gigs and reformed with half the members to release an album in 2021. Switzerland-based hard rock and heavy metal band Distant Past had an album called Solaris, which was inspired by Stanislaw Lem’s novel Solaris and Andrei Tarkowski’s film adaptation of the same title. The record was available through Art Gates in 2024.

Age Of Disclosure was a heavy metal side-project. Activity ensued when Distant Past bid the world farewell for a while.
