History & Biography These Swedish souls played metal akin to country-mates In Flames' older style. The band was founded in 1997 and disbanded in 2004 when Mikael Lindgren quit. The act was founded when two members grew tired of the music of their band Cromlech and made the move to Divine Souls. The original line-up was singer and bassist Mattias Lilja (who would focus on the microphone following the band's demos), guitarists Stefan Högberg and Peter Näslund and drummer Mikael Lindgren. Demo-97 was self-recorded by the band and was followed by Astraea. The band opened a gig for Nocturnal Rites after the release of the debut album.
