History & Biography Based out of the Western city of Nová Baňa, Doomas was founded as a death/doom group in 2006. Founder Peter recruited several people from the band Anima. Lost Angels was an early demo in 2006. Guitarist Tomas Svetík departed. This led to a record in 2008. It was called Seven Sins and was out through Peter’s Gothoom Productions. There was a small Romanian tour with Galadriel. A girl opera singer called Befanna came and went and eventually the line-up changes ground things to a halt. The band even performed a show as openers for Eluveitie as a duo.
This, however, led to a hiatus and it was only in 2015 when LaMuerte came out. In fact, this was a new band with only Peter remaining from the earlier line-up. There was a video for the song Forlorn. Gone were the female vocals. The band played as far afield as Malta. Portal was a CD single in 2019. Norbert Bajzat had joined on the second guitar. Doomas was utilising multiple interchangeable concert guitarists at this juncture.
Slovakia-based doom/death act Doomas has a record called R´lyeh through Gothoom Productions. There was a video for the song, Consumed By The Ocean: Father. The group was booked for the EResia Metalfest in Italy and Metal Gates festival in Romania.
