History & Biography
The band was Sudden Darkness (an act that had evolved from heavy rock into speed metal) from 1983 to 1992 before changing names and styles to something resembling techno-thrash. Sudden Darkness was signed to GAMA but its Fear Of Reality had only gotten to the test pressing stage with that label! The 1992 demo was called Psycho Rotten Creatures. The act released New Built Ghetto Status independently before Massacre Records showed up. The band went nowhere and the act disbanded in 1995. A promised and planned (while working with Massacre Records as a licensee) called Mind Movies appeared independently in 2020. Several of its tracks were also released and included as part of the Sudden Darkness/Economist compilation, called Anthology Double 2CD Set, through Stormspell Records in 2014. Another compilation was Iceflowered - The Complete Works through Golden Core in 2021. A two-vinyl version of New Built Ghetto Status appeared through Golden Core in 2023. It included bonus material from the aforementioned second record. Golden Core returned to the well once again in 2026 and released a Sudden Darkness' Fear Of Reality - A German Trash Story 1985 - 1991 and Economist's Iceflowered - The Complete Work as one package.

The band called its music psycho metal. The band’s drummer Andreas "Neudi" Neuderth was the manager at Golden Core. As detailed above several members came from, and reunited in, other bands together.
