History & Biography There is not a better example of a contemporary heavy rock band, including copyrighted Black Sabbath riffs, than Ohio, USA-based Electric Citizen. The act came together in 2012. A double 7" release was self-titled in 2013. RidingEasy Records issued the group's debut in 2014. The band was singer Laura Dolan, her husband guitarist Ross Dolan, bassist Nick Vogelpohl and drummer Nate Wagner. Yusef Quota was a recurring guest piano player. The group opened for Pentagram. Higher Time, on the same label, featured bassist Randy Proctor and was issued in May. Helltown was the last on RidingEasy. Nick Vogelpohl was back. This record picked up the theme of contemporary technology and humanity's disposition. The act toured as part of the Monster Magnet: Mindfucker North American Tour in 2018 and was billed at shows like Desertfest in 2019 and Psycho Las Vegas in 2019. The act was part of the Fu Manchu: 30th Anniversary European Tour in 2022.
USA-based heavy rock act Electric Citizen had an album called EC4 through Heavy Psych Records in June 2025. It followed its predecessor by seven years although the band had uploaded a two-track release called SISS the year before. The album was recorded by the band independently prior to the label coming into the picture. Owen Lee was listed as the keyboardist. The band was touring the USA in the autumn of 2025. Openers were Earth Tongue or High On Fire. The group was off to Europe in the winter of 2026.
