Reviews ENOQUIAN – LLAMAS DE GLORIA PRIMERA – SATANATH This album begins and ends with howling winds, but the rest of it is full of raw and lo-fi black death metal that could have come from Mystifier circa 1992 and is sung in Spanish. The recording quality is in tandem with the band’s musical prowess. It is clear that the members are not the masters of their instruments. The structure is simple and the drummer is not tight. With that said, where Enoquian has the edge is the raw and uncompromising adherence to the soundtrack of evil whether mid or fast-paced. The vocals are gargling blood and the drums pounding away. The better tracks here are Esclavizando Al Maestro and Destructores Del Ser. Both offer slightly more distinctive riffing without losing the speed and heaviness.
Enoquian is extreme, dangerous and creepy. Where it needs to make up ground is in the rehearsal room where it should keep practicing. The sound of the occasionally edgier riff tells me there is more potential. – Anna Tergel
