History & Biography
Eternal Autumn was a Swedish heavy metal band with Iron Maiden influences, which was formed circa 1993. A demo 94 and promo 96 were recorded. A proper demo called Moonscape appeared in 1996. They appeared on a Mercyful Fate tribute album in 1999. The band split up in late 2001 because the members lived in different parts of Sweden and were mostly inactive. The band was also dissatisfied with ...From The Eastern front and preferred The Storm. Carlsson would have an ambient project called Casque Strength and later have a band with a copycat titled called Eternal Darkness.

Invariably, the band returned. This was in 2017. Thomas Ahlgren would also take over the bass and the drums in addition to the guitar meaning two members had regrouped. A 2019 demo was called The Werewolf Diaries. The text was inspired by a mid-20th century study of werewolves, called Varulven I Svensk Folktradition, by author Ella Odstedt. Bassist Niklas Karlsson (Helja and Korp) and drummer Lawrence Dinamarca (Carnal Forge, Loch Vostok, etc.) joined in 2020. 2021 brought To Tame The Impaler. 2024 brought Meet Us At The Crossroad. A full-length demo, entitled Below The Lightless Heavens, also emerged in 2024. Someone called ADG Records repressed the full-length on CD in 2025.
