History & Biography
Pop quiz: Which band name is recycled the most on the metal scene? Could it be Aggressor? Maybe Armageddon? What about Nemesis? Dark horse: Requiem! Or perhaps it is Eternity.

This band was founded by namesake Eternity in 2003 and had a demo called In Subspecies Aeterna. The second demo was called To Become The Great Beast and came in 2005. It featured Mayhem’s Blasphemer. Eternity and Blasphemer had been in In Silence in 1992. Bringer Of The Fall was a 2006 concept demo. This led to a prolonged hiatus. Herr Eternity did what most Norwegian ‘black metal’ musicians do: turn to synth. The man was also in a resurrected Nuctemeron. Products called Blacklight and Dreaming In Our Blood were promised, but did not materialise. Yet, To Become The Great Beast re-appeared on Soulseller with a modified line-up in 2019. The act had a concert with Dødheimsgard.

Norway-based Eternity had a full-length called Mundicide through Soulseller Records. The band was embarking on a mini-tour of Europe with Demonizer in 2023, which would be the band’s first foray outside Norway. Winter Rising Fest was the next booking.

Musicians from Conjuration, Nocturnal Breed and Nuctemeron form the live ensemble.
