History & Biography Evol, or love backwards, should not be surprised at a lack of love for
it in the metal scene.
Formed in 1993, Princess and Count joined
the
ranks in succession months later. The first demo was 1993's The Tale of
the Horned King and was followed by 1994's The Dark Dreamquest Part I.
This demo was later tagged to the Dreamquest CD.
The band heralded itself black metal, but may be of passing interest to
metal fans. An EP called Ancient Abbey appeared in 1998.
Research indicates that none of the band members is actually a member
of
the aristocracy.
Following the band's demise, several members
reverted to the gothic act Death Dies. In 2002 BTOD released a CD
called
Dies Irae which contained both the The Tale of the Horned King and The
Dark Dreamquest - Part I demos plus unreleased live material.
