History & Biography The act was founded in 2009 and had an eponymous demo in the same year. The demo contained a song called Silence and the debut record of 2012 followed up with Silence Again (Silence Pt. II). Russian keyboardist Maria Zvyagina was with the band for a while. The band went dark and switched countries.
Originally from Amman, Jordan, Dubai-based Falling Leaves released an album, called The Silence That Binds Us, after a 13-year hiatus through Meuse Music Records in 2025. The line-up had undergone an upheaval as of 2014 and was missing a permanent drummer (or presumably piano player). The new singer Haroun hailed from Syria. The bassist was Egyptian. They had joined in 2024. Like all new releases there were guest appearances. These were by Paul Kuhr (vocalist – Novembers Doom) who was also on the debut, Fabio Alessandrini (drummer – Bonfire and Annihilator) and Ariel Perchuk (keyboards – Kenziner and Roger Staffelbach). Dan Swanö, whose work the band could not afford for the debut, mastered this one. The band had saved enough to be able to pay the Swede his rate this time. A new song was called Re-Silence (Part III).
Sentenced had a song called We Are But Falling Leaves.
