History & Biography Fantom Warior was a New Jersey thrash metal band. The group held the Phantom Lord monicker upon formation in 1984 and for a year. This was a covers' band. Several singers came and went. Singer Jason Glicken would end up in Black Anvil years later. The new group's first gig was at Dover, NJ in May of 1985. The band was actually in a car accident en route to this first gig, but determined to play still made it to the venue to climb the stage. They had a demo named Morbid Invasion in 1986. Their only album featured a line-up of Keith Pries on guitar and vocals, bassist/vocalist John Chernack and drummer James Jensen. Token Records was managed by Pries' cousin actually. The band ran its course and disbanded in 1989.
The group reformed in 2012. Insaniac's CJ Scioscia was now on second guitar. The Archive was an independent compilation made available in 2014. The band was writing new songs. In fact, the band was promising new music. By the middle of 2014 CJ Scioscia was out and the band was again a trio. Jensen was out and then there were two. CJ would team up with Blood Feast.
