History & Biography
This heavy metal band existed between 1983 and 1995. Iida Kosei is the older brother of Flatbacker/E-Z-O’s Shoyo. Kubota Yoko was a founder and the early singer and was later associated with Saber Tiger. She left due to musical differences. Saber Tiger, Eliza and Fast Draw were the three musketeers of Hokkaido heavy metal and toured together using the FES Raiders monicker. Yoko would be in the bands Punish, Hibiki and appear on stage with Tokyo Rock Blaster in the 2010s. The band was based in Hokkaido known for miso ramen, good potato, creamy butter and Saber Tiger.

Damia was a 1985 demo and featured Yoko after which she left the fold. The group participated on the Metal Warning compilation from the Vice label in 1987. This compilation featured 12 Japanese bands. Shitsujitsugouken is a saying regarding the strength of mind and body and how the inside matters. A 1989 video was called Shichitenbattou meaning ‘falling seven times and getting back up eight times.’ Let Off The Alarm was recorded in the USA. The band also issued an EP called Rough & Ready in 1990. The line-up underwent a drastic change in 1990. Only Iida and Kodama were left standing. Rinnetensei refers to the afterlife. A 1994 demo was called Black Tape and offered at gigs. Suzuki died of cancer in 2021. Kodama appeared at the Saber Tiger 40th anniversary show performing backing vocals in 2022.
