History & Biography
Hole Of Hell - potentially a reference to McDonalds - was formed in 2002, but changed names to Fire Strike in 2005. The band hails from Sao Paulo. A one-song demo called Our Life Is The Heavy Metal appeared in 2008. The act had had its first concert with the band Roxanne. In 2010, Aline joined on vocals, which was the year after the Fire Strike demo was released. Thirteen Records - owned by Tor vocalist - issued the Lion And Tiger EP through Non Nobis in 2013. The 2013 split with Vulcano, Panzer and Executer followed. Fire Strike and Armadilha had a 2014 split. Slaves Of Fate was out in August. The album, which was produced by Andria Busic of Dr. Sin, was in the works for several years and was expected two years earlier. Edivan Diamond left in 2019 and the band became inactive.

Edivan was in a King Diamond covers' band.

Reviews

FIRE STRIKE - LION AND TIGER - THIRTEEN RECORDS
Despite the quintet being around in one form or another for a decade or so Lion And Tiger is these Brazilians’ debut EP. Fire Strike is female fronted - Aline Nunes being the singer - and Lion And Tiger is five songs and 25 minutes long. Playing pretty much standard heavy metal of the 80's ilk it is little surprise that the singing is sometimes too screamy, high pitched and perhaps very comparable to any such 80's vocalist randomly picked out of a hat. Musically, the five songs comprising Night Fever, Streets Of Fire, True As A Dream, Master Of The Seas and the title track feature numerous solos and a mostly low-key rhythm section. The fourth track features the most clear cut Iron Maiden inspired part of the EP in its solos but the rest of the songs and indeed the whole EP itself are more of the generic heavy metal type that can very loosely be labeled speedy. The cover art and more so the logo and band picture are further clear indications of the old school influence. - Anna Tergel
