History & Biography
This Pagan outfit from Southern Germany was founded in 2010. A first demo was Wogen Der Trauer in 2013. Keyboard girl Linda Biermann had already left. The 2014 demo was called Niedergang. AOP Records would re-release this one five years later. Northern Silence Productions, in the meantime, issued a single called Innenwelt in 2016. Drummer Martin "Troll" Lindner departed in 2016. Multiple guitarists would also come and go.

Imperium Dekadenz booked a string of concerts in Germany and Switzerland for December 2014. The band was joined by fellow Germans Gernotshagen, Bifröst and Firtan. AOP Records released a full-length called Okeanos in the summer of 2018. The band, reminiscent of those Eurovision bands (or Arcade Fire, Kansas, ELO or perhaps Dave Matthews Band) had acquired a violin player. Germany-based Firtan had a full-length called Marter through AOP Records in 2022. The band was touring with The Spirit and others. One show was merged with another of Nocte Obducta, Thormesis and Boötes Void due to low ticket sales. Firtan had a video for Komm Herbei, Schwarze Nacht, which was featured on the band’s full-length Ethos, in 2024. It was released through AOP Records in September. The band had concerts with Finsterforst and several with Sojourner in Europe. The band was writing music and was booked for shows like Summer Breeze, Tyrant Fest, Party.San and Stonefest in 2025. The Live At Summer Breeze independent release of 2026, which was taped in 2025, featured an embarrassingly tacky cover of a violinist trying to look.... wild? The band made live guitarist Lukas Massinger permanent and announced a new album. The new man was in half a dozen other projects.
