History & Biography Flesh Divine was formed in 1999. A demo called Uranium Corporation was
issued and a mere fifty copies were distributed. The band soon became
inactive because of the members' commitments in other bands.
In 2002 Brother Justice (of DAB fame) and Necrophis restarted the band and quickly gained a contract with the French label Perennial Quest.
The band's debut full-length appeared in mid-2003. Thin and long-haired girls who were clean, charming and untattooed were not forthcoming and the act gave up.
Reviews FLESH DIVINE - NECROPOLIS - PERENNIAL QUEST
This French quartet's debut is a strange one, to start off members going by names like Brother Justice. They describe themselves as dark thrash death. The songs feature of a lot hidden messages as they include many slowed down spoken passages. Musically this is a weak effort, there isn't much in the way of musicianship as the guitar riffs and drumming are pretty standard thrashy ones. Somewhat surprisingly My Story starts off exactly like a slow song seen on French TV and one is left expecting the 'metal' to kick in, but it doesn't. This is a disappointing release from a country that has been producing some of the heavier stuff out there recently. Sheila Wes Det
