History & Biography This band would be of more interest to gothic than metal fans. Adipocere released a 1995 EP called War And Poetry, which a year after the act’s formation. The monicker may be inspired by Dead Can Dance.
There was a 2003 demo called Prémices D'une Épopée... and the band was not heard from again except for the recruitment of a bass man called Meredith Cauet.
Reviews FOREST OF SOULS - CONTES ET LEGENDES D'EFEANDAYL - ADIPOCERE
Two years after releasing their demo/MCD on Adipocere, the French label
is now making the band's debut full-length available to the market.
With
vocalist Deres surrendering the guitar to newcomer Fred Mariotti the
band's sound has undergone an alteration, although the demo-quality
production remains unchanged. This brings the band's sound to what can
best be described as Candlemass gone keyboard trendy! While the band's
fantastic creation of a world christened Efeandayl is impressive, the
keyboards, whistles and other nouveau-trendy expressions of atmosphere
are not. The band does have good moments (which is when it tailgates
Candlesmass), but the general concept is too soft for a metal fan. - Ali "The Metallian"
