History & Biography
Fossilization is a death metal band that was formed in 2020. The duo, featuring members of the sludge/death/doom metal band Jupiterian V. (voices, guitars, bass) and P. (drums), started as an idea right after their European tour with Krypts, Father Befouled and Encoffination, but since Jupiterian was still working on its album, the project had to be delayed. It only turned into a full-time band after the advent of COVID-19. Their 5-track debut EP, He Whose Name Was Long Forgotten, was recorded in their hometown, São Paulo Brazil and mixed by Otso Ukkonen (Krypts). Fossilization’s He Whose Name Was Long Forgotten was issued by Everlasting Spew Records on the 2nd April 2021.

The band was touring Europe with Altars in 2023. Altars, Fossilization and Claustrum had a concert as well. The act’s Leprous Daylight was out through Everlasting Spew Records in September. The duo claimed it was the band’s more violent release. The band was booked to tour Europe with label-mates Father Befouled for the autumn of 2024.
