History & Biography
The Montreal, Canada-based extreme act was founded in 2011. Original singer and bassist Simon Gauthier would contribute bass to the Black Lion album a decade later. Early drummer was Max Desjardins. Guillaume Audouze replaced him. The demo was called Through The Grave and released in 2013. Keyboard player Ophélie Gingras was a guest. This would not be the end of her. Melodic death metal band Hollow announced a CD launch in 2014 with support from Dissension, Virulys, Frostbite and Murtenscythe. A couple of demo songs re-appeared on the band’s first album. Etching Obscurity was released in 2016. Female singer Krystal Koffin departed. Anthonny Colin-Bilodeau took over the vocals as well. The band’s first foray into the USA was at Doom Days Of Summer in Pittsfield, Maine in 2019. Bane was also playing.

Drummer Myrdynn joined in 2023 and was billed as a guest as he jumped from pay cheque to pay cheque. He had helped out live in 2019. Montreal, Canada-based Frostbite had an album called Relentless Grief through Black Lion Records in November 2024, which was postponed from September. Guitarist Tony Collin had only stayed long enough to be part of the writing for the record, but still contributed several solos. There was a lyric video for the song Flagellants. Max Allard was now on vocals and guitar. The band played a gig with Dépérir in 2025.
