History & Biography
The death metal band Funebrarum was formed by singer Daryl Kahan and guitarist Nick Orlando in New Jersey, USA in April of 1999. Member Nick Orlando had come from a band called Funerus. Several members were from Abazagorath and, in fact, the band was considered a side-project. The Triumphant Ascent (where Nick Orlando also played bass), Rehearsal Promo 2000 and Tombs Of Sleeping Darkness demos followed. The last demo was retouched and released as the band's debut record, Beneath The Columns Of Abandoned Gods, in 2001. The Necroharmonic Productions label specialized in raiding the underground. Dormant Hallucination was a 2003 single. The material here was meant for a split release with Brazil-based Cadaverizer, but the band issued the songs as a single when the Brazilians split up.

Another full-length album only emerged in 2009. The Sleep Of Morbid Dreams was initially announced for Necroharmonic Productions, but was released on Cyclone Empire. The 2016 EP, Exhumation Of The Ancient was on yet another label. The band did not work quickly. Then again, every member was a part-timer moonlighting in other acts. Sam Osborne left briefly, but soon reappeared. The band was billed at 2011's Maryland Deathfest IX. Funebrarum and Undergang booked the Dead Of Winter European Tour in 2012.

17 years following the release of The Sleep Of Morbid Dreams album, USA-based death metal band Funebrarum would issue a full-length, called Beckoning The Void Of Eternal Silence, through Pulverised Records/Doomentia Records/Morbid Wrath Records/Medieval Darkness Records on 29.05.2026. The group was booked for the Kill-Town Death Fest in 2026. (the band was touring with Morbific). The band had been booked there in 2019, as part of its European tour with Galvanizer, as well.

Three members, Nick Orlando, Dave Wagner and drummer Daario Derna, were also in Evoken. Aside from being in a ton of bands, the other stipulations for membership is temping in Incantation and Hulder.
